This story is just shocking all the way around. When I first heard about it almost a month ago, I didn't even know what to think. How could a mother tell her daughter she had leukemia when she didn't? But it's more than that. The woman had her go to counseling to prepare her to die. She also got about $10,000 in donations from the community to help defray the medical costs. One of my questions about all of this was: Where was the father when all of this was going on? Well, Robert Milbrandt was on The Today Show this morning talking about it. His answer? He let his wife take care of everything. Sorry. Not good enough. Besides being one of the stupidest men in the country, he's also not going to win any awards for Father of the Year. If your daughter had leukemia wouldn't you want to go to the doctor with her once, or at least call the doctor? In over a year, he did neither. Good dad, huh?
