I'm confused by the yahoo! personals ads on tv. Do they think the pathetic losers they show on the ads are going to entice people to advertise with yahoo personals? And, if the people in the ads are representative of the people who do advertise there, do we really want them getting together and possibly procreating?

There's still no doubt in my mind that Scott Peterson did it. I feel bad for his parents who can't face the fact that he's probably guilty. But I'm outraged by these people. Personally, I don't agree with abortion, but I'm pro-choice. However, this fetus, at more than 8 months, was presumably viable. How could he not be charged with his murder?

On a semi-related note, forensic pathologist Cyril Wecht has been getting a lot of airtime because of this case. I met him once when I was working as a newspaper reporter. He was speaking on the JFK assassination. I believe he was a consultant of some sort on the film JFK. After reading my article in the next day's paper, he sent me a letter saying I did a good job of summarizing his talk. I thought that was very cool of him, and I'll never forget that.
