On Jan. 15 I wrote "Can news be sexy?" -- a little rant about a CNN ad calling news anchor Paul Zahn sexy. Now I hear that former CNN personality Greta Van Susteren had plastic surgery to get rid of bags under eyes. She had the surgery during the month she had off between leaving CNN and starting a new job at Fox. If it makes her feel better, good. But if she did it because of peer pressure and the focus on looks in the television news business, I feel sorry for her.
