As if I need something to add to my anxiety, the DC sniper thing is getting way out of hand. I have relatives and good friends who live in the DC area. I'm scared for them. My two cousins and their families live in Maryland, as does one of my friends. I have a friend and an accquaintance from college who live in Virginia. This really sucks.

I saw on 20/20 that the sniper may have actually started in mid-September. A man was shot outside a wine store in Maryland. Police are reluctant to tie this case to the others because, according to 20/20, they don't want to admit they should have taken the shooting more seriously when it first happened. But the victim and his family are pressing to get the incident tied to the others. His medical bills are about $100,000. There's been a fund set up for the sniper victims to get free medical care. I'd push it, too, if I was that guy.
