Lawyers & Sex
A lawyer in Washington is facing disciplinary action for having sex with a client. This got me thinking. There's a lawyer who's been helping me with my next novel. If he's not charging me anything (Yes. He's a real lawyer & he's really not charging me) can I be considered a client? Good Lord, I hope not! Not that there's a chance of him actually wanting to have sex with me (Maybe. Someday. But not now.), but I can't help but wonder. Are the rules in this state the same as in Washington? Would I ever be able to find another lawyer who wouldn't charge me? Especially a lawyer who's young, handsome, intelligent and funny? Highly doubtful. I'm just going to go on the premise that since I'm not paying him, I'm not an actual client.
I found the link here. Thanks!
