Mad Cow? Mad Farmers?

I'm not saying the mad cow thing is a hoax or a set-up or anything like that, but I do see a bit of irony in the whole thing. For months news shows had been reporting that wheat farmers, potato farmers and the like were hurting financially because of the Atkins, South Beach and other low-carb diets. Instead of eating starchy carbs, people are eating -- Guess what? -- more meat. Now, all of a sudden there's mad cow disease, which is putting a scare into some people. Interesting. Very interesting.
